I'm thinking about this in these days. I have few ideas, some related to photography and some to creativity in general. Still need to sort things out.

  1. Use all the gear I already own at least twice
  2. Stop buying more gear
  3. Shoot minifig parts that have never been in front of my lens before
  4. Unbox and build one set from my backlog at least once per month
  5. Curate my feed better: only follow people who inspire me.

Be more selective about the Lego I buy (I dont need it just because its half price! That was hard to admit ????)

Keep my lego stuff more well organised. I had this one last year too and I made good progress but i lapsed a bit toward year end so it needs sorting again.

I'll not bother sharing my none Lego Photo related ones about work/life balance and health ????

Those are all good ones already!

For now: related to Lego-photography:

- Get the best out of my year long creative break! Take my time and create the best comic I can starting August 13th; that means structurally prepare from now until then, keeping procrastination to a minimum.

- Read more of the books I have all related to my creative endeavours and bring the things I learn from that more into practice and

Unbox and build one set from my backlog at least once per month

(This one I'm stealing from Anna ????)

Besides those; I too have quite a few work/ life related resolutions (like expand my trainings and increase the number of meditation-sessions, decrease procrastination (again) and increase the structure in my to-do-lists/ calendar... I have quite a busy year coming up. 🙂

My overall resolution: plan better and keep to the planning!

Good luck with those two resolutions ???? (I don't even bother putting those in mine anymore ????)

If anyone's looking for a good to-do app, I use Habitica. It's basically a to-do list with an RPG element to it (you lose life, upgrade armor, etc)

You can do simple to-do's, habit-forming to-do's, and give yourself rewards. It's cute.

Hah.... "it's cute" is not what I'm looking for... ???? But all kidding aside, I know that app.

I myself am an omnifocus addict. I've been using that one for years now.

I'm going to try both of these now. I'll let you know which one lasts longest before I resort to being disorganised again!

Don't just buy omnifocus... read some reviews etc first. it's pretty expensive... though I think they have a trial version these days...

I went to the LEGO Store first thing on Jan 1 to check out the BAM Tower. It didn't have the new parts yet so I almost bought a few sets just so I wouldn't go home empty-handed. Then I was like, WTH, stop adding to the backlog! Plus I am moving in a few months so I really need to cut down.

I don't make them because I never keep them - but I like:

  • use the gear I have before buying more
  • be more selective in what lego I buy

and would like to add

  • finish what I start, or at least, don't beat myself up about not finishing what I started because I probably learnt something from it before I got bored 😀
