My first picture shooting with low angle is here. It is not ultra low angle but I hope it qualified.

Looks like a great venue for a wedding! Really nice photo - I imagine myself below congratulating the happy couple! Nice 'moon' in the background too? How did you do that? 🙂

Thank You for good words Im glad You like my photo ????

For this moon I used one big led lamp.Original it is powerful 15 W led...but it would be too bright to my picture. But one day one lamp ended working and I made this parts. For this picture I used only white bulb part and I put less powerful led inside. And in Photoshop I add for moon area  little bit color. Beacause original way it was not very nice.

My first entry for the @bricksailboat challenge.

Almost there.

Behind the scenes is here. I've also done a phone version to try to be truer to the shooting style of @bricksailboat!

So here's my entry.

I put camera on a tripod and lowered it to get desired angle. Sun is setting very early now so I don't have opportunity to dig a hole 😉

I am a big fan of shooting low angle. I just think it makes everyone look super heroic and important!

I did consider using a main character for this setup like Darth Vader but then I thought why not shine the spotlight on a lowly Tie Pilot and give him the hero treatment for a change.

One thing I didn't mention in my Instagram post is the decision to open up the Iris a little bit so that the backdrop was more in focus. My initial shots were very shallow but what I found is that the backdrop just looked like a big old grey blur and out of context I wasnt sure people would know what was going on in the pic.

As much as I love a shallow depth of field sometimes it just doesn't tell the right story, hence the decision to open up and make the Tie Fighter a little more prominent in the background.

Exactly! A good point! Just because you can shoot at f1.8 doesn't mean you should.

So many photographers fall into this trap.

I went to one workshop where the instructor (famous guy) told us to always shoot at the widest possible otherwise it was a waste of a lens. I thought to myself, this guy only knows how to tell one story one way.
